Background:

Waycroft Primary School was opened in September 1998. Two well respected schools, Waycroft Infant and Waycroft Junior, which shared the same site, were amalgamated. A substantial remodelling programmed resulted in a superb range of facilities, which includes a library, nursery unit, ICT suite and large hall. All its classrooms are linked to the internet and the application of computer technology provides an important focus in all areas of the curriculum. Facilities for developing children's creative and sporting talents are also well catered for with excellent resources for art, design, music and physical education. An extensive range of extra-curricular clubs further extends the opportunities for children to make use of the well-equipped site. These include recorders, French, chess, football, cricket, netball, art, choir, keyboards, gym, cross-country running, hockey, rugby, tennis, and judo. The school aims to create a safe, happy and caring learning environment where children realise their full potential.
